The objective of Friends of 1^st Responders is to donate new technology and equipment to enhance and support the response capabilities of firefighters, emergency medical technicians, hazardous materials response teams, law enforcement officers, bomb squads, medical doctors and nurses, emergency managers and other emergency responders at the local, state and federal levels of government, members of the public and private sector, and the citizenry. This mission is achieved through new technology and equipment education, training, planning, research, partnerships, community outreach, and other means.

Friends of 1^st Responders can help to identify and strengthen areas needing improvement.  It also acts as a consortium for new equipment and resources to connect 1^st Responders with [250] equipment manufacturers selling products directly to agencies at cost with funds, grant writers, consultants, experts, and training

Friends of 1^st Responders is dedicated and committed to reducing 1^st Responders total operating cost by forty percent [40%] in new technology, equipment, disaster prevention, preparedness, readiness, response, mitigation and recovery efforts.  The successful management of disasters hinges mainly on a strong and ongoing partnership among 1^st Responders, citizens and communities.
